NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 11 June 2001
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
Continued Fairbanks T-1 Problems: The Fairbanks T1 line went down once again
at 1718Z on June 9 and did not return to service until 2300z. During this T1
outage, the Fairbanks CDA Station ran all passes in the normal mode. No data was
lost.
POES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
AFWA operators declared the following data losses on Saturday, 9 Jun, all due
to communications problems at POGO:
Cat I Data Loss: Ops 47, Rev 32039, R+4, POGO, Declared: 0721z. Spacecraft
seconds: 6996, Playback seconds: 174.9 Cat I Data Loss: Ops 47, Rev 32040, R+5,
POGO, Declared: 0902z. S/C sec: 6124, P/B sec: 153.1 Cat I Data Loss: Ops 49,
Rev 7702, R+4, POGO, Declared: 1046z. S/C sec: 5208, P/B sec: 130.2 Cat II Data
Loss: Ops 47, Rev 30239, R+4, POGO, Declared: 1127z. S/C sec: 342, P/B sec: 171
Cat I Data Loss: Ops 49, Rev 7703, R+5, POGO, Declared: 1228z. S/C sec: 7176,
P/B sec: 179.4
DMSP operations were otherwise nominal over the past 72 hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
At 1805z on June 8, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed to RFI
(unknown).
At 0233z on June 10, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed to RFI
(unknown).
At 2348z on June 10, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed to an
IPS reset on the SPS.
GOES-11 will be returning to Z-Axis Precession (ZAP) Storage Mode this
evening.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
