NOAA GEOS SATOPS Morning Report 27 July 2000

SATOPS MORNING REPORT – July 27, 2000

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

GOES-8 rapid scan operations were activated from 2026Z to 0126Z for
tornados over Nebraska.

GOES-8 frame break occurred at 0102Z due to loss of signal synchronization
at Wallops CDA.

GOES-10 frame break occurred at 0537Z due to address phasing error.

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-12 rev 47790 L1A, NOAA-15 rev 11454 G4B, and NOAA-11 rev 61045
S4B were lost due to scheduling error.

The AVHRR image data is no longer usable, all other instrument data
is being recorded nominally and is usable.  An engineering test to
record, playback and ingest Stored AMSU Information Processor (SAIP) data
continues through the end of July 27.

NOAA-15 revs 11455, 11456 and 11457 report of receiving 50% of the SAIP
expected frames is an accounting error in the scheduling software. 
Data volume of STIP and SAIP, thou equal in volume, the SAIP is 100 minutes
versus a STIP of 200 minutes.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

One OPS48 acquisition was reported as marginal.  Unable to establish
voice communications.
