SATOPS MORNING REPORT – December 18, 2000

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 30750 / F at 1558Z on December 17:   L1B noisy
from spacecraft.

91.0% recovered.  L1B not recoverable on later rev due to recorder

management sequence constraints.

NOAA-15 rev 13495 / W at 1245Z on December 17:   G2B noisy
from spacecraft.

97.2% recovered.  No re-ingest required.  G3A short due to
antenna problem

at CDA.  90.0% recovered.  G3A re-ingested on rev 13496W
with 100% recovered.

POES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

At 2004Z on December 17:  GOES-8 frame break due to East/West address
error.

At 1131Z on December 17:  GOES-10 frame break due to high bit error
rate and

storm-related interference at CDA.

At 2336Z on December 17:  GOES-10 frame break due to loss of signal
sync at

CDA.

At 0409Z on December 18:  GOES-10 frame break due to loss of signal
sync at

CDA.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
