TROPICAL STORM BILL

Tropical Storm Bill was located over the Gulf of Mexico near 28.8N 91.5W at 15:00 UTC. Bill

has been moving northward at 12 knots with maximum sustained winds estimated at 50 knots,

gusts to 60 knots.

FIRES IN OREGON AND CALIFORNIA

Heat signatures (red) and smoke plumes (light blue haze) are visible from fires burning in

Oregon and California. The Davis Fire has charred 3,000 acres in Deschutes National Forest in

Oregon. This information is from the National Interagency Fire Center’s Incident Management

Fire has charred 37,500 acres in Coronado National Forest in Arizona. This information is from
