DUST STORM ACROSS CENTRAL IRAQ

Dust (gray haze) is visible across central Iraq. The dust storm (indicated by the yellow arrows) extends

from near the border with Saudi Arabia to central Iraq, just west of Baghdad.

Dust (gray haze) is visible across central plains region. Powerful winds with gusts as high as 130 mph

swept through southern New Mexico on April 15, 2003, prompting road closure and causing a 10-car

pileup that killed two people.

TYPHOON 02W (KUJIRA)

Typhoon 02W (Kujira) was located over the Pacific Ocean near 13.8N 135.15E at 12:00 UTC.

Kujira has been moving west-northwestward at 11 knots with maximum sustained winds estimated at

130 knots, gusts at 160 knots.
