About the NASA’s Mentor-Protégé Program: The NASA Mentor-Protégé Program is a formal technical and business development program where Mentors [Prime Contractors] partner with Protégés [Subcontractors] under an approved Agreement by the NASA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. Under such agreements, Protégés gain invaluable subcontracting experience that expands their technical and business capabilities beyond their core portfolio.

This program enables participation of these firms in NASA’s existing high-technology contracts and subcontracts. It also provides opportunities to SDBs and NASA prime contractors to establish long-term business relationships and to compete as a team in NASA’s future contracts.

NASA prime contractors receive a variety of incentives for participating in this program, such as evaluation credits when competing for NASA contracts and incentive fee post contract award during the performance of a NASA contract.
