HOUSTON – The combined shuttle and station crews wrap up their docked activities and prepare to close the hatches between the two vehicles today.

The crews of space shuttle Endeavour and the International Space Station woke at 6:56 p.m. CDT to “Galaxy Song” performed by Clint Black. The song was dedicated to the whole crew by the flight control team.

At 8:56 p.m. Mission Specialist Drew Feustel and Pilot Greg Johnson will take questions from reporters from their respective home states. They will participate in interviews with WJRT-TV in Flint, Mich., WJBK-TV in Detroit, WXMI-TV in Grand Rapids, Mich. and WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio.

Later in the crew day, Commander Mark Kelly will offer congratulatory words to the participants in the Space Shuttle Program’s “Face In Space” campaign for the STS-134 mission. Participants submitted 128,940 photos for uplink to Endeavour via the Mission Control Center at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. The images will return to Earth through a data transmission, and contributors will be able to print certificates verifying their photos flew aboard Endeavour.

Mission Specialist Mike Fincke will wrap up work on the Carbon Dioxide Removal Assembly (CDRA) while Feustel and Mission Specialist Greg Chamitoff organize and stow spacewalking tools. Expedition 28 crew members Commander Andrey Borisenko and Flight Engineers Ron Garan and Alexander Samokutyaev will continue with station maintenance and support.

After their lunch, all of the crew members will gather for a group photo and finish the last bit of transfer of cargo to and from the station.

They will all gather again at 5:56 a.m. for their final goodbyes between the two crews. The hatches between the two spacecraft will be closed immediately afterward.

The next status report will be issued Sunday afternoon, or earlier if warranted.
