Description
The next quarterly meeting of the Stennis Business Consortium (SBC) will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the auditorium of Building 1200 at Stennis Space Center beginning at 1:00pm. The mission of the SBC is to provide a mechanism for federal agencies, local institutions, and businesses to exchange information on small business goals, needed and emerging technologies, upcoming procurement requirements and opportunities, and issues dealing with existing procurement regulations. This is accomplished through quarterly meetings where specific information is exchanged based on funding cycles, forecasts of small business needs, as well as inquiries from small businesses. Featured speakers are: Ken Newton, NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) and Marla Helveston, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), with shorter presentations including: NASA Stennis Small Business Specialist, Michelle Stracener; NASA Contracting Officer Marvin Horne on the SACOM (Synergy Achieving Consolidated Operations and Maintenance) Contract; and Ingall’s Shipbuilding’s latest project. Bus tours of Stennis will follow the meeting. There is no fee for this event.
