Description

Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MSET) is hosting events over a two-day period to encompass the second meeting of the Stennis Business Consortium (SBC) and a Small Business Technology Expo. Both events will be held at Stennis Space Center. There is no cost to participate in either event.

June 21, 1:00pm Stennis Business Consortium (SBC) General Meeting in the StenniSphere auditorium

The second general meeting of the SBC will feature speakers on the recent award of the NASA Test Operations Contract (TOC) to Lockheed Martin and the NASA Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) program just prior to the next public release in July. In addition, MSET will provide details on the newly announced Affiliate Program. Brief presentations by local government agencies, prime contractors, and other technology organizations will follow, focusing on opportunities for small businesses. A complete agenda will be released closer to the event. The SBC is co-hosted by the Louisiana Technology Transfer Office (LTTO) and general meetings are sponsored by the Magnolia Business Alliance (MBA).

Scheduled presentations from HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses to Stennis government agencies and prime contractors will take place immediately following the SBC meeting. Presentations begin 3:00pm June 21. Contact Laurie Jugan (228-688-1192 or lajconsulting@bellsouth.net) for more information.

On June 22nd, the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MSET) is hosting a Small Business Technology Expo in the atrium of Building 1100 from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Table-top exhibits will feature the capabilities of various local small companies with expertise in remote sensing, IT, engineering, project management, oceanography and meteorology, as well as other fields.

This is an opportunity for government and prime contractor representatives to meet with technology providers and obtain details on their products and services, as well as small businesses to network with each other to discover common interests and strategic goals. The expo is sponsored by MBA. Register early to exhibit as space is limited!

Important: If you do not hold a Stennis Space Center security badge, please register for these events no later than noon Friday, June 17, 2011 in order to ensure that a visitor’s pass is authorized for you at the south gate security office in time for your arrival.

If you have any questions on how to register or need driving directions, please contact Belinda Gill in our office. Belinda can be reached by email at belinda.n.gill@nasa.gov, or by phone at (228) 688-3144.
