In Case You Missed It: Here is a link to a discussion about plants in space from NPR’s Science Friday broadcast on February 3, 2017 – http://www.sciencefriday.com/segments/how-spaceflight-alters-the-eyes/. In this episode, Lauren Silverman of KERA News in Dallas joined host Ira Flatow to discuss the effects of spaceflight on vision and intracranial pressure. The segment also includes part of an interview with Dr. Benjamin Levine about his work on intracranial pressure during spaceflight. The results of the study were published in the paper: Lawley JS, Petersen LG, Howden EJ, Sarma S, Cornwell WK, Zhang R, Whitworth LA, Williams MA, Levine BD. Effect of gravity and microgravity on intracranial pressure. J Physiol. 2017 Jan 16. [Epub ahead of print] https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28092926. It appeared in SPACELINE Current Awareness List #733 on 27 January 2017.
