Of interest this week:

 

GeneLab Data System 1.0, the first version of NASA’s open-access, online searchable data repository for Space Biology experiments, has been released. This initial 1.0 release of the GeneLab Data System is part of a larger four-phased development approach to the GeneLab project. The iterative development approach is to enable community feedback and tailored updates to the system. See http://genelab.nasa.gov/data.

 

A recent paper by NASA-funded researcher Karen Plaut has been chosen for the May 2015 APSselect list (http://apsselect.physiology.org/) of “the very best original research papers published by the American Physiological Society.” The paper, “Transcriptomes reveal alterations in gravity impact circadian clocks and activate mechanotransduction pathways with adaptation through epigenetic change” by Theresa Casey, Osman V. Patel, and Karen Plaut appears in Physiological Genomics, volume 47, 2015, and was cited ahead of print in SPACELINE Current Awareness List #635, February 13, 2015.
