Expedition 7 NASA ISS Science Officer Ed Lu conducted another run of the Investigating the Structure of Paramagnetic Aggregates from Colloidal Emulsions, or InSPACE, experiment. InSPACE is a fluid materials experiment studying how very small individual particles that are magnetizable respond to a magnetic field that is repeatedly turned on and off. The experiment run was performed in the Station’s Microgravity Science Glovebox.

Commander Yuri Malenchenko performed science work. He conducted a daily status check of a Russian Plant experiment in the ISS’ Lada-2 greenhouse.

In other activities, Malenchenko and Lu continued to unload the Progress 11 cargo ship and prepared for the transfer of water from the Progress. Also, both crewmembers talked to students in Amagasaki, Japan, via amateur radio.
