Description

NASA/KSC has a requirement for support services for NASA’s Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Honorees attending the five remaining scheduled launches. The first planned launch date (STS-130) is currently scheduled at NASA, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, on February 7, 2010. Services to be provided include: bus transportation for approximately 630 honorees (approximately 10 buses) to transport guests on launch minus day (L-1) for a tour of KSC, services to facilitate a Meet & Greet by NASA Program Management and the Honorees at the Apollo Saturn V Center (ASVC) prior to the tour, and Award Ceremony support services at Debus Conference Facility for KSC SFA Honoree Award Presentation by Center Director (occurring on or about L-14 days depending on availability of Director and Debus facility).

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-38. Please see attached solicitation for statement of work, quote requirements, and evaluation criteria. Quote shall include a breakout of pricing for both reception services and bus support for both the bases period and each option period. All requested services must be provided. Multiple awards will not be made. All offerors must have an active Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and registered in ORCA. This information can be found at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Technical acceptability will be determined by review of information submitted by the offeror which must provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the products offered meets the Government’s requirements. Offerors will submit quotes via email to the address above by 7:00 AM, EST January 20, 2010. It is the quoter’s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
