Description
NASA/GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Proposal to provide range support services at the Wallops Flight Facility (WFF). The work encompasses all phases of range management from installation (hardware, software, and range instrumentation systems), operations and maintenance functions for the tracking systems, data acquisition, control center, air traffic management and communications systems.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item/service using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 517919 and $23M, respectively.
All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
The anticipated release date of the DRAFT RFP is on or about March 14, 2008 and the anticipated release of the Final RFP is on or about April 14, 2008 with anticipated due dates as follows: relevant Past Performance (3-5 years past), to include the past performance questionnaire included with the Final RFP package, is due in 30 days, on or about May 14, 2008 with the technical, cost, subcontracting plan and all other proposal submissions due 45 days after the release of the Final RFP on or about May 30, 2008.
An ombudsman has been appointed — See NASA Specific Note “B”.
The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
