Description
NASA/HQ plans to issue a Request for Proposal for a site analysis and preparation of a cost estimate for the Decontamination and Decommissioning of the NASA Plum Brook Station Nuclear Reactor located in Sandusky, Ohio. The scope will require the performance of a detailed review in order to provide a written assesment of the NASA Plum Book Reactor Decommssioning Project to identify the remaining activities necessary to complete the decommissioning. The final delivery will include a detailed cost estimate of the required work to be completed. The work must be completed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements referenced in the statement of work.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541620 and $6.5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP NNH07179005R will be on or about November 17, 2006. Responses to the RFP will be due 14 calender days after the date of solicitation issuence.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The successful contractor will not be eligible to participapte in the procurment for the actual decontamination and decommissioning work. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note “B”. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors are requested to notify this office of their intent to submit an offer by November 17, 2006.
