Description

NASA/HQ has a requirement for services to support NASA Television and the NASA Web Portal www.nasa.gov. The Contractor shall provide daily operations, production and engineering support to NASA Television and Web services.

NASA/HQ intends to purchase these services from the incumbent Innovative Technology, Inc. (ITI), by increasing the maximum value of their Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract NNH07CC90B. This will allow the extension of the current Task Order for a period of performance to not exceed 12-months, thereby allowing sufficient time to award the follow-on contract. The solicitation for the follow-on contract is scheduled to be released 4th Quarter of Fiscal Year (FY) 2012, and will be awarded as a competitive procurement.

ITI has the specialized knowledge, experience and technical capability (in-place) to meet NASA HQ schedule requirements without a disruption of services or decrease in quality of products through award of the follow-on contract.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 15, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html .
