Description

NASA GSFC is considering a small business set-aside for Lead Engineering, Risk Management, Safety and Mission Assurance Studies, and Special Analyses services to be provided to NASA’s Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) facility in Fairmont, WV.

The NAICS code for this procurement is 541519 and the Small Business Size criteria is: $25 Million. This work is comprised of technical and management capabilities that are critical to the overall IV&V software product line based business model. This work includes: -IV&V project Lead Engineers, who provide both program management and engineering management support to the IV&V Project Leads; -IV&V program wide risk management that supports identification, mitigation, reporting and tracking of program wide risks; -Safety and mission assurance studies that provide analyses of development project software safety attributes which are linked to IV&V product line activities; -Special domain topic and IV&V topic system engineering analyses that support IV&V projects and standard engineering processes used by the software product lines; -IV&V Mission Directorate Lead management support; -Chief Engineer Management support.

The effort will be performed on-site at the IV&V facility in Fairmont, WV. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps. It is the potential offeror’s responsibility to monitor the site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Interested offerors having the required specialized capabilities to meet the above requirement should submit a capability statement of 4 pages or less indicating the ability to perform all aspects of the effort described herein. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for the past 3 years; number of employees; ownership; whether they are 8(a), number of years in business, and affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners. Small Businesses interested in this opportunity may decide to partner in a joint venture with other small businesses.
