Description
Over the last few years with the cancellation of the Constellation Program, there has been a shift in how the International Space Station (ISS) Program transfers crew and cargo to the ISS. The ISS Program will now expand its use of Commercial and International Partners to provide for crew and cargo services. This change in Program focus has a direct impact on the how NASA manages the ISS Program and its related transportation and integration services. Based on all these changes, the ISS Program needs to be able to address and respond more quickly to the dynamic environment of launch schedule changes. A new contract strategy has therefore been developed that combines portions of the Mission and Integration Contract (MIC) (NNJ10GA20B) and the Program Integration Contract (PIC) (NNJ09GA18B) which will be the Mission and Program Integration (MAPI) contract and provides for a separate standalone Russian Language and Logistics (RLLS) contract.
