Description

NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Internet2 Network Participation Dues for a period of one-year.

NASA/GSFC intends to purchase a membership from the UNIVERSITY CORPORATION FOR ADVANCED INTERNET DEVELOPMENT pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. Internet2 Consortium has developed a proprietary network and presently there are no alternatives to gain access to this network.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail to keva.r.crossen@nasa.gov no later than August 11, 2009 or via facsimile 301-286-5373.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 14, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
