Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled “Integrated Applied Space Systems Engineering and Project Management Program.” The objective of the training is to provide a graduate level curriculum for Integrated Applied Space Systems Engineering and Project Management Graduate Certificate delivered onsite at NASA Ames as well as providing mentoring support directly related to this program. The vendor shall be responsible for developing the integrated program and providing all training materials to include any assignments, exams, software, textbooks or workbooks necessary. The vendor shall provide a graduate certificate program based on existing modules into an integrated program design and include a not-for graduate credit leadership development component. The program shall provide a unique combination of hands-on project management development with a space domain focus explicitly derived from NASA project management procedures, policies, practices and requirements including NASA’s NPR 7120.5d and integrate into it space domain focus on system engineering, with a balanced and integrated technical domain and system management approach tied to NASA NPR 7123.1.

NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the above curriculum from Stevens Institute of Technology, School of Systems and Enterprises, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, the acquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonably available from only one source.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. central time on August 25, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

Capabilities and qualifications should be submitted to Megan Willis at Megan.M.Willis@nasa.gov.
