Description

NASA/GRC has a requirement for an Integrated Medical Model which quantifies the level of medical risk related to space flight by identifying the most likely medical conditions, treatment options and medical skills required for different mission scenarios. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the services from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. This effort requires expertise with clinical practice and research experience associated with the effect on fracture risk of medical conditions such as loss of bone mineral density, bone turnover rates, bone micro architecture, collagen content of bone and the effects of pharmaceuticals preventing loss of bone mineral density. Dr. Angelo Licata of the Cleveland Clinic is the only physician in the greater Cleveland area with the necessary qualifications and experience in this area of research.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.
