Description
The NASA Office of Small Business will be hosting the 4th Annual NASA Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Hyatt Dulles, 2300 Dulles Corner Blvd., Herndon, VA, 20171.
The 4th Annual NASA Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony provides opportunities for small businesses to network and learn about NASA programs and initiatives, while recognizing outstanding individuals and companies that support NASA in achieving its mission. In addition, attendees and award winners will hear from NASA’s Administrator and Associate Deputy Administrator, the new Chief Scientist, the Associate Administrator for the Mission Support Directorate and the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Do not miss one-on-one meetings with NASA Small Business Specialists and Agency program offices on Wednesday, November 2nd from 1:00-5:00 pm. You may request a one-on-one meeting during your online registration for the 4th Annual NASA Small Business Symposium and Awards Ceremony.
The event will culminate with the NASA Small Business Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 3, 2011. The awards ceremony recognizes outstanding contributions made by NASA employees as well as industry representatives in support of the Agency’s small business program.
Small Business Advocates Awards (SBAA) will be made in four categories:
1. Small Business Specialist of the Year 2. Procurement Person (or Team) of the Year 3. Technical Person (or Team) of the Year 4. Program Person (or Team) of the Year
Small Business Industry Awards (SBIA) will be made in three categories:
1. Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year 2. Small Business Subcontractor of the Year 3. Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year
