Description
NASA/ARC has a requirement for an aircraft refueler is required for the refueling of large aircrafts. Types of aircraft to be refueled are the Boeing 757, Boeing 767, C-5, C-117, Antonov and various other military and commercial aircraft. The refueler will be used to support the prime tenants and future customers of Moffett Federal Airfield and additionally will support Moffet Federal Airfield prime tenants and future customers.
NASA/ARC intends to lease the aircraft refueler from Bosserman Aviation Equipment, Inc., 2327 State Route 568, Carey, OH 43316. Period of Performance July 30, 2008 to July 30, 2011. Bosserman Aviation Equipment, Inc., is the only source identified that meets all of NASA’s requirements.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:30 p.m. local time on Friday, July 25, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
