NASA [Smd] ROSES-22 Amendment 2: Draft Space Weather Centers of Excellence for Community Comment
ROSES-2022 Amendment 2 releases a draft of B.22 Space Weather Centers of Excellence (SWxC) for Community Comment.
When it is solicited, B.22 Space Weather Centers of Excellence (SWxC) element will support multi-institution, multi-/inter-/trans- disciplinary collaborations (Centers) that address grand challenge goals of space weather that are ambitious in scope and transformative in nature as part of an integrated multi-agency initiative to advance the science and technology of space weather. This program is intended to support research that cannot be effectively done by individual investigators or small teams, instead requiring the synergistic, coordinated efforts of a research center. This SWxC program takes advantage of lessons learned from ongoing and past science centers, the growing body of information on team science, and a coordinated national effort to improve space weather capabilities and preparedness.
Comments and questions concerning this DRAFT of B.22 SWxC are due by April 1, 2022, to Jesse Woodroffe at jesse.r.woodroffe@nasa.gov.
On or about February 17, 2022, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2022” (NNH22ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://solicitation.nasaprs.
