In concert with the Director, the Deputy Director ensures JASD programs and projects are organized and conducted for safety and success and in a manner consistent with National, Agency, and Directorate policies.
The JASD Deputy Director provides leadership oversight to the planning, coordination, and development of Government space-based operational weather and climate programs and projects including the Joint Polar Satellite System, Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites R Series, Space Weather Follow-On, Geostationary Extended Observations Program, Deep Space Climate Observatory Project, and other programs and projects.
