The New (Early Career) Investigator Program (NIP) in Earth science is designed to support outstanding scientific research and career development of scientists and engineers at the early stage of their professional careers. The program welcomes innovative research initiatives and seeks to cultivate diverse scientific leadership in Earth system science. The Earth Science Division (ESD) places particular emphasis on the investigators’ ability to promote and increase the use of space-based remote sensing through the proposed research.

ROSES-2020 Amendment 53 delays the proposal due date for proposals to A.32 New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science to give more time for proposers displaced by fires in the west. Proposals are now due October 6, 2020.

On or about September 14, 2020, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2020” (NNH20ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2020 and will appear on SARA’s ROSES blog at:https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2020/.

Questions concerning A.32 New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science and/or this amendment may be directed to Allison Leidner at Allison.K.Leidner@nasa.gov.
