Program element C.22 Radioisotope Power Systems Enabling Missions Beginning with Research and Technology (REMBRandT), which was TBD, will not be solicited in ROSES-2020.

REMBRandT seeks to enable advancements in thermoelectric, thermionic, thermodynamic cycle-based technology, and other viable means of converting heat flux directly into electrical energy for use in radioisotope power systems for deep space science missions. The goals of the program are to improve radioisotope power systems by:

  • increasing their performance, reliability, and efficiency
  • enabling long life operation (greater than 20 years), and/or
  • enhancing manufacturing processes for materials and components

ROSES-2020 Amendment 20 announces that REMBRandT which was TBD, will not be solicited in ROSES-2020.

On or about May 11, 2020, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2020” (NNH20ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at and will appear on SARA’s ROSES blog at:
