The Health and Air Quality application area supports the use of Earth observations in air quality management and public health, particularly regarding infectious disease and environmental health issues. The objective of this program element is to select a Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (HAQAST) to execute projects on specific applied topics and demonstrations required to advance the health and air quality management communities’ sustained use and application of Earth science observations and models in decision making.

To allow the proposing community more time for connecting with health end-users and stakeholders overwhelmed with COVID-19 response at this time, Amendment 17 delays by a month the proposal due date for Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (ROSES-2020 Program Element A.38). Proposals are now due June 30, 2020. Notices of intent are still welcome and may be submitted directly to jhaynes@nasa.gov.

On or about April 20, 2020, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2020” (NNH20ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2020 and will appear on SARA’s ROSES blog at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2020/.

Questions concerning Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team may be directed to John Haynes, who may be reached at jhaynes@nasa.gov.
