ROSES-17 Amendment 43: This amendment releases Final text for A.42 Advancing Collaborative Connections for Earth System Science (ACCESS)

The primary goal of ACCESS is to develop and implement technologies to effectively manage, discover and use NASA’s archive of Earth observations for scientific research and applications. This program complements NASA’s Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) by engaging researchers and software developers external to EOSDIS in NASA’s mission to “drive advances in science, technology, aeronautics, space exploration, economic vitality, and stewardship of the Earth” and furthers Strategic Goal 2.2 to “advance knowledge of Earth as a system to meet the challenges of environmental change and to improve life on our planet” (http://science.nasa.gov/about-us/science-strategy/). ACCESS aims to improve and expand the use of NASA’s Earth science data by leveraging modern techniques for discovering, managing and analyzing large and complex Earth science data sets.

Notices of intent are requested by December 1, 2017, and proposals are due January 31, 2018.

On or about November 2, 2017, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2017” (NNH17ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and will appear on the RSS feed at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2017/

Questions concerning this program element should be directed to Kevin Murphy at HQ-EOSDIS-MMO-Grants@lists.hq.nasa.gov.
