ROSES-17 Amendment 25:  C.21 Small Innovative Missions for Planetary Exploration (SIMPLEx) will not be solicited in ROSES-17. Instead it will be solicited via the Third Stand Alone Missions of Opportunity Notice (SALMON-3) NNH17ZDA004O.

SIMPLEx supports the formulation and development of science investigations that require a spaceflight mission that can be accomplished using small spacecraft. All proposed investigations must be responsive to the goals of the Planetary Science Division, as described in the 2014 NASA Science Plan.

This amendment announces that the SIMPLEx will not be solicited as part of ROSES-2017. Instead, it will be solicited as a program element appendix of SALMON-3 NNH17ZDA004O. When this occurs, it will be announced as an Amendment to SALMON-3 through the NSPIRES mailing list.

On or about August 25, 2017, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2017” (NNH17ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and will appear on the RSS feed at: https://science.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2017/

Questions concerning SIMPLEx may be directed to Doris Daou at Doris.Daou-1@nasa.gov.
