NASA ROSES-14 Amendment 7: D.4, ATP Final Text

ROSES-14 Amendment 7 presents the final text for D.4, Astrophysics Theory Program, which replaces the placeholder text in its entirety.

The Astrophysics Theory Program (ATP) supports efforts to develop the basic theory for NASA’s space astrophysics programs. Abstracts of previously selected ATP projects may be found online at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ (choose “Solicitations” then “Closed/Past Selected” on the left). The periods of performance of investigations for this research element may range from one to four years. Most selected proposals will have a duration of three years, but four-year proposals may be selected if the need for the longer duration is sufficiently well justified.

Proposals submitted for this program must both:

– be directly relevant to space astrophysics goals by facilitating the interpretation of data from space astrophysics missions or by leading to predictions that can be tested with space astrophysics observations; and

– consist predominantly of theoretical astrophysics studies or the development of theoretical astrophysics models.

Notices of intent are requested by May 16, 2014, and proposals are due July 11, 2014.

On or about March 11, 2014, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2014” (NNH14ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and will appear on the RSS feed at: http://nasascience.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2014
