NASA ROSES-13 Amendment 5: Draft text Appendix A.30, Earth Venture Suborbital-2
Venture-class Investigations, for community comment and also provides a tentative solicitation schedule.
The NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Earth Science Division’s Earth Venture (EV) is an important element within the Earth System Science Pathfinder (ESSP) Program. Earth Venture consists of a series of regularly solicited, competitively selected Earth Science investigations as recommended by the recent National Research Council’s decadal survey in Earth science, Earth Science and Applications from Space: National Imperatives for the Next Decade and Beyond (The National Academies Press, 2007, available at http://www.nap.edu/catalog.php?record_id=11820). This Earth Venture Suborbital-2 program element solicits proposals for complete suborbital, principal investigator-led investigations to conduct innovative, integrated, hypothesis, or scientific question driven approaches to pressing Earth system science issues. These new investigations will be competitively selected to provide opportunity for investment in innovative Earth system science to enhance our capability to better understand the current state of the Earth and predict future change.
This Amendment to ROSES 2013 releases a tentative schedule for the Appendix A.30 solicitation and draft text for the solicitation for community comment. NASA encourages interested parties to comment on the draft solicitation and tentative schedule in either of two ways:
