NASA ROA-2015 Omnibus, A.5 Advanced Composites Project Release

This publication announces the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Headquarters, Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 version of the NASA Research Announcement (NRA) entitled, “Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA)” has been posted on the NSPIRES web site at http://nspires.nasaprs.com.

Detailed requirements, including Proposal Due Dates will be stated in Appendices that address individual Thrust Areas.  These appendices will be posted as Amendments to the ROA NRA and will be published as requirements materialize throughout the year.

The initial release of this ROA 2015 NRA includes eleven subtopics supporting the following three topics in Appendix A.5 in support of the Advanced Composites Project:

(1) High Fidelity Progressive Damage Analysis (PDA) Methods for Residual Strength and Life Prediction of Composite Structures;

(2) Rapid Inspection of Composite Aircraft;

(3) Composite Processing Simulation Tools.

Details on subtopic areas can be found in Appendix A.5.  

For topics/subtopics in ACP, NOIs are due February 23, 2015 and proposals are due March 30, 2015.
