The information requested should consider the current state of NASA’s weather research activities and identify the R&D needs to guide planning for future activities. The input from NASA’s WADFA R&D community will be considered in the development of a WADFA strategy.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of NASA’s WADFA in Earth Science Division’s Research and Analysis (R&A) Program. A response to this RFI does not guarantee a commitment that NASA will include submitted content into the WADFA strategy. Furthermore, the WADFA strategy will follow all NASA rules and regulations regarding the development of such documentation. Funding levels for WADFA are not expected to be increased as part of any activities prioritized and included in the new strategy, or as a result of the inputs provided from the community. WADFA has limited dedicated resources and on occasion draws on resources that might be perceived as being primarily focused in support of other focus areas.
