Description

This notice is issued by NASA/JSC to post a draft statement of work (SOW) via the internet and solicit information from interested parties. This document is for information and planning purposes as well as to promote competition.

Industry is invited to provide inputs in the following areas:

1. Please provide information regarding the reasonableness and feasibility of the requirements as written in the draft statement of work.

2. Are there any areas required for this type of effort that that would be necessary to achieve a successful output that are not addressed?

3. Please provide information regarding what type of contract provides the best approach for this effort.

4. What subcontracting opportunities exist for this effort?

5. Please advise of any known or unknown risks associated with the requirements as written in the draft statement of work.

6. Please provide a rough order of magnitude (ROM) for this effort. This information will not be released outside of the Government.

7. Please advise if the requested service is commercially available.

Industry is invited to submit written responses to Christopher Anzures via the email address below, no later than July 1, 2011. Please reference solicitation number NNJ11BH002L in your subject line response.

Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, or any category of small business*, number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime).

The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto.

The information contained herein is pre-decisional and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Respondents will not be notified of the results.

No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror’s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
