Description

NASA/JSC has a requirement for the publication of a special issue of Radiation Measurements Journal to include the proceedings of the 3rd International Workshop on Space Radiation Research. This requirement includes the editing and compilation of 23 scientific papers, publication in black and white print, an option for color copies, an online publication of the journal, and an additional 10 copies of the journal. NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from Eril Research,Inc. who publishes the Radiation Measurements Journal. They are the only company that has rights to issue the special edition of the Radiation Measurements Journal.    

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 13, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.    

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
