NASA/JSC has a requirement for 350 three (3) dimensional 5″ Pewter Return to Flight Snoopy figurines with a base to engrave shipped in a special box for Return to Flight to be delivered to National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center(JSC) no later than May 1, 2005.     NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from The Robbins Company based on their qualification from the patent owner, United Media, and previous history manufacturing the NASA Snoopy with the exclusive rights from the Charles Schultz family and United Media.    

Any prospective offerors must meet this qualification requirement in order to be eligible for award.        

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and a written quotation from the offeror.    

The anticipated award date is no later than February 1, 2005 Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on January 18, 2005.

Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.    

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
