Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for Mission Assurance Services in support of NASA’s Office of Systems Safety and Mission Assurance (OSSMA). OSSMA provides leadership and guidance to GSFC space flight programs by formulating general policy in the areas of quality assurance, materials control, parts control, environmental testing, reliability, software assurance, and flight safety. OSSMA also conducts a review program for the technical and flight safety aspects of the projects. OSSMA provides direct support to the GSFC projects in implementing the systems assurance program and provides services, such as training, for other NASA Centers and other agencies. The resulting contract is a follow-on to the current Mission Assurance Support(MAS)contract. The Mission Assurance Services Contract (MASC) procurement will provide Mission Assurance Engineeering Services, System Safety Services, Reliability Services, NASA Manufacturing Technology Transfer Center Support, Software Assurance and Technology Support Services, and general Information Technology (IT)infrastructure support. The NAICS Code is 541710 and the Size Standard is 1,000. This Competitive procurement will be a total Small Business Set Aside. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the DRFP is on or about July 26, 2005 with an anticipated due date for comments on or about August 09, 2005. An ombusdman has been appointed–See NASA Specific Note “B”. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
