Description

NASA/JSC has a requirement for the continued design and development of a Space Shuttle Long Life Vernier Thruster Engine design. This effort is a follow on to an existing contract. NASA/JSC intends to purchase services from Aerojet-General Corporation. Aerojet – General Corporation is the current designer and developer of this effort. This effort is authorized pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(2)(ii) “Supplies and services may be deemed to be available from only the original source in the case of a follow on to a contract for continued development . . .” The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. See note 22. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
