NOTICE OF INTENT:     September 24, 2004

PROPOSAL DUE DATE:     November 24, 2004

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Space Science is releasing a DRAFT NASA Research Announcement (NRA) entitled The New Millennium Program Space Technology-9 for community review.      

Shortly following the release of the DRAFT NRA, NASA will release the final NRA.    

This NRA solicits proposals for advanced technologies to be incorporated into a system-level flight-validation experiment in the 2007-2008 time frame to minimize risk of first use and reduce cost or future space science and exploration missions.    

Upon its release date, both the DRAFT and final versions of this NRA will be available electronically from the World Wide Web by accessing     the central NASA Web site for the listing of all research solicitations at     http://research.hq.nasa.gov     and linking through the menu listings “Office of Space Science” and then “Current (Open) Solicitations”.    

Participation in this program is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic, including industry, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other Government agencies.
