NASA [Oceo] Call for Proposals – Appendix K: Space Grant K-12 Inclusiveness and Diversity in STEM (SG KIDS)

This National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) entitled Engagement Opportunities in NASA STEM (EONS) – 2022, solicits proposals for competitive funding opportunities in support of the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program (Space Grant) administered by NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM). EONS-2022 is an omnibus announcement that includes a wide range of NASA STEM Engagement opportunities for basic and applied science and technology research and education. Specific opportunities will be issued periodically throughout the year as Appendices to this solicitation with individual requirements and milestones.

Full Proposals due Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:59pm Eastern Time 

  

The Space Grant is administered through NASA OSTEM. Through Space Grant, NASA provides financial assistance via competitive awards to Consortia with Lead Institutions at the helm in all 50 states and the territories of District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Space Grant was established by Congress in 1989 as a workforce development program in the United States that produces STEM-trained professionals. 

 

The NASA SG KIDS solicits proposals from the 52 Consortia that will form a regional approach to formal or informal, hands-on, and experiential learning activities that are NASA-aligned for middle and/or high school students.  Please see Appendix K for detailed information.

A pre-proposal teleconference for the SG KIDS opportunity will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. During this session, the SG KIDS team will give an in-depth overview of the opportunity and highlight information contained in the EONS 2022 document regarding proposal preparation and requirements. Any changes to this session will be posted here as well; proposers are strongly advised to check for updates prior to the call.
