Description
Lunar Precursor and Robotic Program Industry Day Announcement
On October 20, 2006, the Lunar Precursor and Robotics Program (LPRP) Office at Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama, will host an industry day. The purpose of this event is to help industry better understand LPRP and to allow the LPRP management to get feedback on the capabilities of industry and academia to meet the LPRP objectives. This event will begin with a 1 hour briefing by the LPRP Office on the program status. Immediately following this briefing, there will be time available for 10 participating organizations to present their capabilities to the LPRP office in a one-on-one setting. Of particular interest are capabilities for potential lander instruments for conducting lunar measurements and potential lander subsystems, as well as rover systems and subsystems for both light and dark areas. These presentations will be strictly limited to a total of 30 minutes each, including questions and answers. Presentation slots will be given out on a first come first serve basis. Please let Mark Nall 256-544-9152 mark.e.nall@nasa.gov know as soon as possible who will be attending, and whether you want to make a presentation to the LPRP office. A second industry day will be scheduled if the number of firms wanting to make presentations exceeds the number of presentation slots available. Firms may also leave information with the Program Office on their capabilities. This event will be held in conference room 4078 at the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) at 320 Sparkman Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805. Industry Day will begin at 8:30 am. There is a limit of two industry representatives from each firm at the event. The LPRP Program Office briefing charts on the program status will be available to interested firms.
