This notice is issued by the NASA/LaRC to post a Request for Information (RFI) via the internet, and solicit responses from interested parties.

We are requesting information concerning existing, prototype and conceptual sensors capable of providing Altimetry, Velocimetry, Terrain Relative Navigation (TRN) and Hazard Detection and Avoidance (HDA) measurements for lunar landing vehicles as set forth in the attachments.This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition.

Responses should include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime). This presolicitation synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.

Respondents will not be notified of the results. [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An ombudsman has been appointed — See NASA Specific Note “B”. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation.

If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service.
