Description

This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. NASA/LaRC has a requirement for the modification, design, fabrication and delivery of the Clouds and the Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES) FM6 Instrument and is utilizing American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to provide for key elements of the contract performance through approximately February 28, 2011. These performance elements focus on the completion of critical tasks (e.g., instrument preliminary design, instrument critical design, and initiate the fabrication of CERES FM6 instrument assemblies/subsystems). Northrop Grumman Corporation is performing these key elements under the existing contract awarded to the company on December 23, 2008 under the statutory authority of 10 U. S .C. 2304 (c)(l) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.”
