NASA LaRC Internal Memo: Buyout Approved

As you may know, the Agency has offered Centers the opportunity to participate in a buyout this FY.  Langley submitted a plan, and I am happy to report that we have received approval to offer the buyout at the Center.  Due to the project work that the Center has received and the fact that most of our employees are assigned to funded work, the scope of this buyout will be very limited.  We expect that a maximum of 30-40 buyout separations will be approved. 

The Office of Human Capital Management will distribute information on the workforce competencies included in the buyout pool, application instructions, and other information on Monday, December 4.  The buyout application window will open on Tuesday, December 5 and close on Monday, December 18.  All buyout-related information will be available on the OHCM buyout Web site at http://ohr-r.larc.nasa.gov/buyout/.
