Description

NASA/LARC plans to issue a Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a construction project entitled FY’12 Demolition of Various Facilities, Demolition of Buildings 1192C, D, E and 1213.

The order of magnitude for the procurement is $100,000 to $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 150 calendar days after notice to proceed.

This procurement is a total HUBZone set-aside.

The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238910 and $12.0M respectively.

The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about March 25, 2014 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about April 25, 2014.

The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) or upon request.

All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html . The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).

FAR 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction) (Feb 1995) Alternate I (Feb 1995) (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of the solicitation. A site visit will be scheduled on or about April 9, 2014, further instructions will be provided in the IFB. It is anticipated that the site visit for this solicitation will be MANDATORY.
