Description
NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for project planning and control services to support Project Orion, Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) Project Office.
Specific functions are:
a. Configuration and Data Management
b. Risk Management
c. Information Technology
d. Project Schedule Management and Integration
e. CEV Vehicle Integration
f. CEV Test and Verification
g. Advanced Planning
NASA anticipates releasing a draft RFP in May 2007. The draft RFP will allow interested parties the opportunity to submit questions and comments. The pre-proposal conference at NASA Johnson Space Center is tentatively planned for May 2007. Additional information regarding the pre-proposal conference will be forthcoming. Final issuance of the RFP will be in July 2007. Responses will be due in September 2007. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1,000 employees, respectively. Please notify the Contracting Officer of your intent to respond by noon local time April 12, 2007. E-mail is the preferred method of submission. The notification should include the company name, president, address, phone number and point of contact. Please provide an e-mail address in order to expedite communications. It is the respondent’s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced numbered notes may be viewed at the following URL linked below.

The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.
