Description

NASA/JSC has a requirement for the 2nd Annual Space Exploration Conference: Implementing The Vision, scheduled for December 4 – 6, 2006, for 159 civil service employees to be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. NASA/JSC intends to purchase services from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

AIAA is a premier professional association representing professionals in aeronautics and astronautics.

AIAA is committed to keeping aerospace professionals at their technical best and furthering the challenge of implementing the vision for space exploration.

AIAA is a premier technical thoroughfare to cutting-edge technical information, worldwide professional networks, career and technical development resources, and they possess the technolgy and experience to leverage a strong conference. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on November 21, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
