NASA is requesting information on industry-developed power beaming technology that may support future commercial and NASA space missions while also having the potential to support terrestrial applications. NASA is also interested in obtaining information on critical technology elements such as heat exchangers and monochromatic photovoltaic arrays.

The RFI, entitled Industry-Developed Power Beaming Technology, is available through the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System website by going to: http://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/solicitations/summary.do?method=init&solId={7DFC8F47-76AE-DF78-6D06-664E67C4C615}&path=open

Activities of interest to NASA include beaming power in-space between orbiting spacecraft, beaming power from an in-space orbiting spacecraft to a planetary asset, beaming power from an in-space orbiting spacecraft to a nearby asset,  beaming power between fixed assets on the surface of a planetary body, and/or beaming power between mobile assets on the surface of a planetary body.

This solicitation is an RFI, and not a request for proposal, quotation, or invitation to bid.
