This is a Sources Sought Notice NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the extension of the International Space Station (ISS) Payload Integration Contract (IPIC). The extension will cover a contract period of performance of 10/1/05 through 3/31/07.
The RFP will include: 1. Payload Integration–managing the process and negotiation payload agreements with the ISS EXPRESS Rack and Pallet; 2. Payload Engineering–including developing and maintaining interface and verification requirements, and performing safety assessments; 3. Payload Software Integration and software interface control documents, and managing the avionics flight configuration tables; 4. Payload Support Systems–including sustaining engineering for all payload racks and conducting MIL-STD 1553B bus testing to ensure compatibility; 5. Payload Operations and Integration– including all payloads for all partners for all ISS Elements; 6. Payload Facility Sustaining Engineering and Logistics Support– including providing hardware sustaining engineering and logistics spares, repairs, and maintenance.
